Wednesday, April 4, 2007 · Page 15 Holy Name Hawk Happenings Father Larry Brunet of Holy Name of Jesus Parish, aka Father Fiddy Cent as he is also known at Holy Name School, came back for a repeat rap performance Friday afternoon. One of the incentive levels for this year's Jump N' ReadA-Thon was to hear Father Larry perform a rap song, just as he did two years ago. Father was unable to attend the exciting Prize Assembly on March 21, when the students were entertained by all the incentive activities they arned. However, on Friday, arch 30, "Father Fiddy ent" came out in full 'rap' ear, complete with a backp posse made up of Student Council reps. He belted out a catchy rap song entitled, "Ain't No Party Like a Catholic Party!" Father Fiddy Cent brought down the house Friday afternoon, much to the students' delight! Ain't no parish priest like Father Larry Brunet! Monday, March 26 was a highly anticipated day at HNS second term reports made their way home! Keeping with this `theme', the school was abuzz with the voices of parents, teachers, and students on Thursday, March 29 as parent-teacher interviews got underway. Throughout the course of the evening, parents were given the opportunity to converse with their child's teacher(s) regarding his/her progress and achievements. What a wonderful opportunity to bring the various members of our HNS community together! Friday, March 31 also proved to be an eventful day at HNS. The `Student of the Month' assembly for the month of March began in the gymnasium after lunch. This month's theme was "Fairness". Two deserving students from each classroom in the school were chosen for their outstanding display of this month's theme and also recognized for their efforts and contributions. These students each received a certificate of acknowledgment and praise and applause from a very appreciative audience. Congratulations to all recipients of `Student of the Month' honours!
