Jan. 30, 2007 at 69 years of age. Beloved husband of Judy (nee Robertson) with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage. Loved grandpa of Jana and Dane Gillett, Jamie Gillett and Dylan Montague, Michael and Leyton Spence. Great grandpa of Tyson Grant. Lyle was a dedicated employee of Gillett Sheet Metal in Leamington for 44 years. Lyle's life was celebrated on Fri. Feb. 2 at the Stewart L. BROWNELL Dorothy Ruth Dorothy Ruth Brownell (Calhoun), 82 yrs., passed away peacefully on Mon. Jan. 29, 2007 at Leamington District Memorial Hospital. She will be sadly missed by her children Daniel Calhoun and wife Eileen, Lunenburg, ON; Ruth Bushey and husband Gary, Stoney Point, ON; Sue Calhoun, Shediac, NB; Laura Calhoun, Essex; Mary Paske husband Harold, and Calgary; Wyman Calhoun and wife Kelly, Amherstburg. Loving grandmother to the late Scott (1973), Jeff, Jay, Casey, Cory, Terry, Amanda, Eric, Martin, Raphaelle, Irene, Max, Connor and great grandmother of five great grandsons. Predeceased by her loving parents Harold and Ethel Brownell. Dear sister of Ruby Rozich and David Brownell. Dorothy was a retired RNA from Grace Hospital after earning her RNA degree at 59 yrs. young. She recently became a published author when her book of poetry, Wondrous Grace, poems written from 1939 to 1965, many relating to wartimes, was printed by Essex Baptist Church of which she was a long time member. Dorothy never lost the love for learning, taking music lessons later in life and playing in several recitals. Dorothy was passionate about everything that was important to her, family, knitting, painting and music. Funeral service to celebrate Dorothy's life was held on Fri. Feb. 2 at Essex Baptist Church in Essex with Pastor John Kenyon officiating. Interment at Victoria Memorial Gardens, Arrangements Oldcastle. entrusted with the Reid Funeral Home in Essex.
