Still in our hearts and never forgotten. - Always remembered by Dad, Mom, Gary and Carrie ______________________ ROBERTSON Don (Father) Twenty-nine years ago you left this world, leaving us with so many questions. Day after day I ask mom, wonder what our lives would be like if dad never died. I was only a baby and I was robbed of a life with a dad. People say that I look like you and resemble you when I do certain things. When I hear that, it gives me great pleasure and touches my heart. They say anyone can be a dad, but it takes someone special to be a father and I know in my heart you would have been a great FATHER. I miss you and love you. -Tami VANDAMME, Lauraine In memory of a Dear Sister, Lauraine Vandamme, who passed away January 1, 2006. You left a place no one can fill, I miss you now and always will. We laugh, we smiled and play our part, Behind it all lays a broken heart. No words I speak can ever say, How much I miss you every day. - Always remembered by Little Brother Edward Weather this past week has been very mild so the shopping malls are full of people enjoying not having to have heavy clothing, boots and gloves to handle. Land shortages and infrastructure challenges worry Ontario home builders Ontario home builders predict dwindling land supplies and increases in land costs will be a significant barrier to efforts by the provincial government to implement its "Places to Grow" growth plan. In a recent Ontario Home Builders' Association survey of its builder members, over 35 percent cited land supply worries as a major problem and almost 40 percent said land costs and availability are the biggest barriers to building affordable housing in Ontario. "It's an uphill battle trying to maintain new home affordability," noted Brian Johnston, president of OHBA. "Unfortunately, provincial legislation designed to speed up and simplify the residential building process isn't working as it was intended and that's leading to frustration and costly delays." Another major issue is infrastructure challenges. The relatively fast pace of THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF LAKESHORE is accepting applications from interested Lakeshore citizens to serve in an advisory capacity on the following Committees. Committee Name # of Positions Available 1 5 Police Services Board Mayor's Seniors Advisory Committee Parks, Recreation, Leisure Services Advisory Committee Agricultural Liaison Committee Committee of Adjustments/Property Standards Committee growth in the province has left some areas without adequate roads, transit and residential services. Over 60 percent of builders surveyed expect new home starts to decrease in 2007 compared to 2006. OHBA is forecasting 69,000 housing starts for 2007 compared to the 75,000 starts anticipated this year. Ontarians are projected to spend about $17 billion on home repair and renovations in 2007. 5 5 972-1000 24 hour pager SANITATION SEPTIC, HOLDING TANK PUMPING & EEL SERVICE "A PLEDGE OF SERVICE" kend Wee vice Ser able Avail RUTH ANN HICKEY 5 SALES REPRESENTATIVE CONSISTENT MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR PRODUCER ~ 22 YEARS EXPERIENCE ~ Full details can be obtained by visiting our website at www.lakeshore.ca (519) Have Ruth Ann's Experienced Negotiating Skills Work For You. 738-3309 (519) 791-7964 CELL Uncle Earl
