It was the dream of a lifetime: ...on opening day everything was sparkling: presentation, signs, parking, landscaping... everything shone like a new penny. Not to mention the effective advertising that could be seen all over. Day after day, Michael's business grew, the name became known, clients rushed in, sales increased, profits grew and our business man became more and more sure of himself; to the point where he believed that nothing bad could happen to him. That's when a few changes could be seen... a few potholes in the parking lot, a few burnt out lights in his sign, and as for advertising, not a word. But that's no problem, Michael told himself: he didn't need that any more. Business ran itself. However, a few years later, a competitor opened its doors and, on opening day everything was sparkling: presentation, signs, parking, landscaping... everything shone like a new penny. Not to mention the effective advertising that could be seen all over. Michael's business started to do less well. Then, one morning, he understood... what he hadn't understood! He hadn't understood that it's good to be known and nice to be popular but it's even more important to be KNOWN AND POPULAR FOR A LONG TIME!
