The classes had a pumpin-carving contest as well o see which class could arve out the best pumpkin. he class with the bestarved pumpkin won a rize. Mr. Loncke's period 2 nglish class was the lucky inner. On Oct. 31, the school llowed 50 graduating stuents to attend the College nformation Program at St. lair College. This allowed tudents to get the chance to bserve the college and ecide if they are interested n attending the college. On Oct. 31, the senior boys' volleyball team defeated Brennan 2 sets to 1. The Raiders quickly defeated the Cardinals 2512, but took it easy during the second game and lost 23-25. In the final game, the Raiders defeated Brennan 25-21, putting them in first place. The seniors finished their regular season on Nov. 2. The boys defeated Sandwich 3 straight sets. Jeremy Butler, Andrew Taba and Kyle Williamson were invited to play for the AAA All-Star team this year. The junior boys' volleyball team also played the top ranked Brennan Cardinals on Oct. 31 and defeated them 2 sets to 1, giving them a record of 22-11 this year. The junior boys lost 3 straight sets against Sandwich on Nov. 2. The scores were 25-21, 25-18, and 25-22. The junior football team also finished their regular season with a game against Catholic Central on Oct. 31 on Raider Field. The result of the game was a 21-14 loss for the Raiders. The junior girls' basketball team defeated Brennan on Oct. 31 with a score of 51-23. The juniors also played a game against Sandwich on Nov. 2. The girls were behind in the first half of the game but worked together and came back in the second half, winning the game 48-44. The senior girls' basketball team sadly lost against Brennan on Oct. 31 with a score of 56-44. They also defeated Sandwich 57-28 on Nov. 2. On Nov. 1, the school held its fourth DEAR Day. Students read books, magazines and newspapers for 20 minutes of the day. DEAR Day happens for 20 minutes, once a week. On Nov. 10, the school is holding an assembly to honour the veterans who risked their lives for our country. The school's classes are putting together wreaths and presenting them at the assembly.
