Christine Krotyna Siebenmorgen, with operations at Tri Group Management Company said the decision to close Acton was purely financial. "We always enjoyed Acton. We're quite sad to close, but the store had not operated at a profit for two years. It's been coming," Siebenmorgen said on Monday, adding the building Godfathers occupies at the corner of Mill Street and Willow Street would be sold. Godfathers opened in Acton in October 1995. Tri Group, which has 36 franchises, closed the Erin store over three years ago. The closest God- 165 Main St. Rockwood 519-856-0222 fathers to Acton is now the Durham store. Assistant manager Victoria Cunningham, with Godfathers for almost three years, said the staff, including the manager, was "very shocked" when informed about the closure last Thursday. "Our customers have been quite upset, so we've been a little busier since the word's been out," Cunningham said on Monday.
