In school news ... The Student Council will be holding its first 'Loonie License Day' of the year on Friday, Nov. 24. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward general school funds, as well as supporting two worthy community groups: the St. Michael's (Victoria Alternative Campus) Food and Clothing Drive and the Essex Food Bank. With the holidays fast-approaching, many people in our community who often go without the basic necessities will be able to enjoy some extra food and clothing thanks to the generosity of Holy Name School! Students can purchase a license for privileges and activities not normally made available to them at the cost of $1 per activity. Students will have the opportunity to choose up to five 'privileges' to be cashed in on 'Loonie License Day'. If students choose to participate in all five activities agreed upon and chosen by their particular class, they would then contribute $5.
