Last week it was a mystery, but this week we now know that the drama students will be performing the musical "Grease." In sports news, the senior boys' football team defeated L'Essor on Oct. 20 with a score of 31-16. The team also played and lost against General Amherst 18-14 on Oct. 26. The junior football team lost against Cardinal Carter 7-0 on Oct. 24. The cross-country team ran in the WECSSAA race at Malden Park on Oct. 19. Candace Chevalier ran 3k in 13 mins., 24 seconds, placing her third overall and qualifying her for the SWOSSA meet in Petrolia. Laura Jones ran 5k in 22 mins., 59 seconds, placing her 28th overall and team captain Andrew Namespetra ran 6k in an unbelievable 22 mins. 40 seconds, placing him 11th. Both Jones and Namespetra qualified for SWOSSAA. At the cross-country meet in Petrolia Oct. 25, Candace Chevalier was first to run and finished her race in 3rd place, out of more than 80 runners. Candace is now preparing for the Ontario finals in Thunder Bay on Nov. 4. The junior girls' basketball team defeated Catholic Central on Oct. 24 with a 5431 victory. Amy Bjorkman was the lead scorer. Colchester North School News Volleyball at Colchester is underway. The senior girls' team played their first tournament last Tuesday night at Oakwood Public School. They finished 8-3 and won fourth place pennant. A good start. Angela Taba won the "Hustler Award" and Brandi Masse was named to the ournament All-Star Team nd won team M.V.P. ongratulations! Have a Safe Halloween! The senior girls' basketball team was defeated by Catholic Central on Oct. 24 with a loss of 79-47. Both the senior and junior girls' basketball teams played Massey Oct. 26. The result was a disappointing 45-43 loss for the seniors, but an impressive 57-39 victory for the juniors. The junior boys' volleyball team beat Catholic Central 2 sets to 1 on Oct. 24. They also defeated Massey 3 sets to 0. The boys now have a record of 20-10. The senior boys' volleyball team also beat Catholic Central on Oct. 24 with 3 sets to 0. The team has only three games left before the playoff season starts. The strength of our community lies in solid citizens.
