St. Mary's Mission Group held a successful Refugee Shower and coffee hour last weekend after mass. They were able to fill a van with household goods and also received $500 in donations. Future events include the October Mitten Drive and the Apple Crisp Sunday on Oct. 22. For the next two weeks St. Mary's parishioners will be collecting canned goods for the Ontario Association of Food Banks after all the masses. The Fish Fry on Fri. Oct. 13 at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Essex from 4:30-7 p.m. will benefit the Essex Food Bank. Tickets are available at the door.
