Following their induction, Ina and Lance gave a presentation of their recent missionary work in Mexico. Pictured above, left to right, are Past President Maj. The Brooker congregation had a busy weekend with the anniversary supper on Saturday night that was well attended and a gospel sing afterwards. On Sunday Rev. Cliff Rummenie brought an inspiring message challenging us for the future. Sarah Rummenie sang and was accompanied by Marian on a "Pan-Flute". This is an instrument made of bamboo which Marian got when she was in Panama last year with her mother. The Pan-Flute is native to South America and gives a beautiful sound. The Essex County Skipping Competition was held in Essex last Saturday. Alana Toole won seven rib- bons and Andrea Toole won three ribbons in the competition. Congratulations girls. Gosfield North Central School was the runner-up for the championship. Ruth Anne Helkie along with two of her girlfriends vacationed in Mexico last week and had a terrific time. Bible Club Banquet on Sat. Apr. 28 at Meadowbrook Fellowship, Leamington. Rev. Jim Bagley will be the guest speaker and the Essex County Male Chorus will provide special music. Are you planning to go into a career in which you will be helping others? Need to strengthen your resume? The Peer Support Network may be the volunteer opportunity for you! We are training 16-21 year olds living in Windsor-Essex County to provide emotional support to other young people in their geographical area who have been victimized by crime or traumatic events. Potential volunteers must have good communication and leadership skills. They must commit to participating in 40 hours of training and one year of volunteering.
