Taken from the Food & Fitness Advisor: Exercise may slow brain aging: A recent review of 40 years' worth of studies on the effects of physical activity on the brain finds exercise may slow the effects of aging on the brain-and help people maintain cognitive abilities well into older age. Ramping up the level of exercise to fitness training may improve some mental processes even more then moderate activity. Studies involving men and women over age 65 showed those who exercised for at least 15-30 minutes, three times a week, were less likely to develop Alzheimer's disease-even if they were genetically predisposed to it, according to the research from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Ward 2 Ward 2 residents may drop off their live Christmas Trees at the CoAn Park Parking Lot, 11071 Concession 11, McGregor.
