Ramping up the level of exercise to fitness training may improve some mental processes even more then moderate activity. Studies involving men and women over age 65 showed those who exercised for at least 15-30 minutes, three times a week, were less likely to develop Alzheimer's disease-even if they were genetically predisposed to it, according to the research from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
