FO R A CONTINUED, EFFECTIVE AND R ESPONSIBLE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT "This term we put our financial house in order by lowering the debt almost 40% and still held the line on taxes. We created an all-compassing roads program at NO increased cost to taxpayers. We acquired Holy Name School, then leased part of it, resulting in a library and more recreational land at NO cost to the taxpayer and we had many other successes such as the new fairer tax plan for rural and industrial areas. I am most proud of the fact that we included you taxpayers in our plans wherever possible , using public meetings and keeping you informed through the media. Now we have a foundation to move forward, and to work at developing the great potential in our municipality for tourism and light industry. I want to say that I feel blessed to be your mayor. I consider it a privilege to serve all the people in our municipality, from Colchester South right up through Harrow, Colchester North and Essex. I would be honoured to serve you again - and once again I make only one promise. If elected I will work as hard and as responsibly as any man possibly can..... HAVE A GOOD ONE!"
