Sympathy is extended to the Chambers family that lived here a few years ago and sold and moved into Essex. Don and Barb and girls, Julie, Sue and Lisa, were great neighbours and kept a close watch on Grandpa and Grandma Baker as they got older and needed help and we were very grateful for their caring. Don was a retired truck driver in Detroit and Barb worked at the Woodslee Credit Union for many years. They enjoyed camping and one year took Donna with them to Florida and broke down in Georgia. The girls can all recall that trip. Many great memories of this man will live on in the hearts of family and friends. Advisory issued for pouched milk WOODSLEE COTTAM PAQUETTE BROOKER The Windsor - Essex County Health Unit's medical officer of health has issued a dairy product advisory for pouched milk produced by Lakeside Jersey Dairy Ltd. in Leamington. In a release dated Aug. 24, Dr. G. Allen Heimann said pouched milk produced by the company since Aug. 14 should be discarded. He added that milk being sold in cartons is not affected. One sample from the line of bagged milk tested positive for the bacteria Listeria. Heimann warns that there is a possibility of other milk being contaminated. No illnesses have been reported. As our program for the night Barb Kenshol shared with us the classes that she took at the Canadian Quilter's Conference in Ottawa last May. She showed us what she did in her sashico class and another class on layering your material from the bottom up to the top to form a flower. The hostesses were Brenda Bauder and Gail Hull. The feel good bundle was won by Brenda Bauder. Then Little Tomato Children's Theatre's young actors will bring one of Disney's most beloved stories to life on the stage.
