Fighting roosters and cats which changed colors, astonished ‘oosters and |i astonished ‘the spectators. The roosters and cats: both moved back and forth at one another. It. appeared as if the cats were spitting at each other, as red fire flew trom their-mouths.— Anoth= er movable feature was the acro- hats, who turned over and over on. a rod. Very beautiful.also, was the rose, with its deep saat petals and green leaves. Once rip- ped from é wire likerain, i up everything with intense brightness. There were beautiful pieces of crochet, embroidery, and knitt- Rugs and quilts of every design _ were hung on walls. Here, too, were entered innumer- able paintings, oil, water, or charcoal: Painted china was in glass cases. In glass cases, also, were the pies, cakes, candies, jread,—and-dther things. We saw the state fish and game exhibit, which consisted of many fine specimens in both fish and game. The Sunday School building was-filled-withthe-work—of the various Sunday Schools. The other machinery. We also inspect- ed the small train that was on the fair grounds. The tiny pullman cars, freight cars, engine, and all, were a miniature likeness of a train. Even in the little pullman ; cars, there were tiny plush seats. \This proved to be an especial at- traction for the children. n the rooms under the grand | t sand, still more was seen. Here -|eharacters. were washing machines, radios, v in, chirping Talkative cut flowers were placed on ice. In this building, also, was the blind people’s display. One lady read with astonishing rapidity from a book, using her fingers in reading. the raised one wrote on a machine that made the rais-, and pets next claimed our attention. Then we went through the long: halls con- taining swine, sheep, and dairy exhibits. [ne 4-H Clubs had fine — exhibits in these, also. We stop- ped at the dairy bar,, and drank some of the fine ice cold milk. This bar -vas in the dairy build- ing, which’ had many interesting object lessons.
