Kingston Chronicle, May 26, 1820
Description
- Full Text
The WILLIAM & JOHN, a Durham boat belonging to this port, in charge of Mr. Benjamin Tucker, proceeded on Saturday the I3th. inst, to the port of Montreal, discharged her cargo of nearly 400 barrels of flour and returned to this place last Saturday, having completed the trip in seven days and three hours. No instance of similar expedition is known on the river - and it is not probable that the trip will soon again be accomplished in so short a time, as the boat was peculiarly favored by the winds.
