p.2 another letter from A True Briton on the steamboat question - "...- Did not the proprietors of the steam-boat (independent of those exclusive rights which they have prayed for,) petition the Legislature for money to further their plans? Do they not expect to have the iron work for this boat (the transport of which would not cost less than five or six hundred pounds) exported from Great Britain to this country at the expense of Government?"..."not less than 40 or 50 Americans are employed in building the steamboat for which they are to receive £7000."
