p.2 another letter, signed Candidus, discussing steam-boat petition; mentions the duties which Canadian vessels are compelled to pay in American ports, and a Bill now before the Legislature which will make American ships pay a tonnage duty equivalent to that imposed by them on our ships.
p.3 Notice is hereby given that the schooner Wellington, advertised to be sold by Henry Cassady, and D. M'Donald, is my property, and now in my possession, by authority of a bill of sale and personal delivery from the original owner. This is therefore to advise any person who may be inclined to purchase the said vessel, that the said Cassady and M'Donald cannot make any legal sale of her.
