p.2 Albany, June 1st - Extract of a letter, dated Sacket's Harbor, May 29th - "The British fleet, of 5 or 6 sail were discovered off our harbor early yesterday morning. By 9 o'clock it was reduced to a certainty that it was their intention to land..."  [Albany Argus]

p.3 The fleet under the command of Sir James Yeo, came to anchor off the nine mile point, on Thursday last, and sent in five small American vessels, prizes, together with property taken from the enemy valued at 6000 L. The vessels we understand were taken near the Genesee river, on their way to Fort George, with provisions for the American army. On the approach of our fleet they were abandoned by their crews. - The fleet sailed again early Friday morning.
