p.2 The United States squadron on Lake Ontario consists of the ship Madison 28 guns; Brig Oneida 18; Schrs. Hamilton 9; Gov. Tompkins 6; Conquest 3; Growler 5; Pert 3; Fair American 4, Julia 2, Ontario 1; Scourge 8; Elizabeth 2; Lady of the Lake 3; with the Mary bomb-ketch. A keel was laid for a 32 gun ship. An expedition against Kingston was in preparation, by land and water.

On Sunday last about 120 of the crew of the Constitution set off in carriages for Sacket's Harbour.

Albany, April 23rd - One hundred of the brave crew of the Constitution, passed through this city on Monday on their way to the Lakes, to entwine in chaplets that adorn their brows, some sprigs of Canadian laurel.

American Account of Capture of York - ...On Tuesday the 27th inst., at sun rise, Commodore Chauncey, with a squadron of 10 or 12 vessels, appeared before York with Gen. Dearborn and nearly 3000 men...

Further Particulars - Although General Porter does not mention the taking any British vessels, yet we are well informed that a considerable portion of the enemy's lake navy, was lying at York, and the other part at Kingston. It is therefore highly probable that our gallant tars have either destroyed or obtained possession of a sufficient number of the enemies ships, to enable us very soon to chase the residue from the Lake.
