p.3 Extract of a letter from Sacket's Harbor, dated Jan 29th.

The fears which you entertain for the safety of this harbor from the attack of the British have no grounds; as the force here is such that they dare not make an attack. It consists of eleven armed schooners mounting 2, 4, and 5 guns; the brig Oneida 16, and Ship Madison, 32 guns, besides the land forces of militia and regulars.
