Kingston, 6th September 1811.

Whereas the Seamen of the Marine Department on Lake Ontario have been in the habit of getting Credit, in some instances more than the amount of their pay, whereby His Majesty's Service and individuals have suffered: In order therefore that none may plead ignorance, Notice is hereby publicly given, that in future no stoppages can or will be made from the Seamen on account thereof.
