And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid* That all Wheat Flour manufactured and packed in Casks and branded a- aforesaid, at a*ij Mill in this Province, by the owner of »uch Flour,shall l>e bv SUCh Miller or Manufacturer made Merchantable and of due fineness and shall be honestly and well packed in good and suifi- ctent ca.*ks made of staves well seasoned and bound with ten hoops and the tare marked en ihe said ca*k toj»i tber with the nett of Flour eon- lained In such cask, each cask to contain one nundredand ninety six pounds. III. IV. And be it further tnacied by the authority aforesaid* That all Floor parked in cask-; and branded as aforesaid, and exposed forsale in an> of the County Towns or Villages in this Pro- %ince, shall be liable to Inspection at the elec¬ tion of any purchaser, and the expencc of such Inspection *hall be paid equally by the purcha¬ ser and seller, each one half. V. Jnd be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid* Thai if any person or per50..s shall put a false or wrong tare on any cask of Flour, to de- [ fraud any purchaser, the persons so offending shall forfeit for every such cask so falsely tared as aforesaid thesum often shillings. VI. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaidl That any person who shall counterfeit any of the aforesaid brand marks or brand Ibe same on any ea=ks of Flour, or shall empty any cask of Flour branded as aforesaid in order to put therein other Flour for sale, without first cut¬ ting out the said brand marks, the person or per¬ sons so offending shall for every such offence for¬ feit and pa) the sum of twenty shillings. Vil. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid* That it shall be the duty of the In¬ spectors from time to time to weigh such casks ol Flour as heor they shall suspect to be light, and if found not to contain the just and true weight, to mark »r brand the same on the head with the word" Light** and for every cask of Flour so marked " Light," the Manufacturer thereof shall forfeit and pay thesum often shillings. VIII. And be it furter enacted by the authority aforesaid* Thaion all ca»ks of Flour Inspected bv any of the Inspectors aforesaid, the inspector shall brand (lie initial letters of h'.s Christian name, Hnd his Surname at full length, together with the name of the District or place where the Baw isin-pceied. r IX An<'.
