The event was hosted by EVP (Elite Volleyball Players), a new local company that focuses on strengthening cur- rent and prospective players skill levels by providing indoor/outdoor leagues, annu- al charity tournaments and development camps for both adult and youth groups. Saturdays event was among a trio of charity tournaments designed to hand over 50 per cent of the proceeds to the Oakville Hospital Foundation (OHF) for the construction of the New Oakville Hospital set to undergo construction in 2011. Tournaments feature up to 50 registered teams per tournament date competing at recreational, intermediate and competitive divisions. Another tournament is set for Saturday, Sept. 11.
