The Essex Planeteers joined in the holiday spirit during the Santa Claus parade Nov. 25 by demonstrating methods of transportation without the use of gas. The group paraded down Talbot Street on bikes, rollerblades, and even horses. New mothers' group in Essex To help mothers with their new babies and the transition to motherhood, the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit will be holding a six week "Just for Moms and Babies" series in Essex Mothers meet with other mothers and share and learn from each other's experiences. These free, informal groups are facilitated by a Public Health Nurse and are for mothers with new babies up to six months of age. The series is on Tuesdays from 10-11:30 a.m. January 16 to February 20, 2007 at the Essex Civic Centre, 360 Fairview Ave. W., Essex.
