FROM THE UNITED STATES:

Troy, December 4.

We have been favored by a friend with the following particulars of the loss of the schooner Blossom and crew. She sailed from Aux-Cayes, about the first of October, bound for Philadelphia, with 16,000 dollars in cash on board. In the evening of the day on which they sailed, she was boarded by two launches from the shore, the crews of which, after murdering the captain and Mr. Edward Young, (brother of captain G.D. Young of Troy) who was a passenger on board, they drove the crew below, plundered her of the money, and then scuttled and sunk her, together with the surviving part of the crew. Our informant adds, that from some circumstances, supicion fixed itself upon the harbor master and six others, who were apprehended and most of the money being found upon them, it was recovered, and they were immediately executed.
