p.1 story of loss of Speedy - left York on Oct. 7th, 1807 (sic) for Newcastle, caught in storm, lost; "The binnacle, topmasts and hencoops were picked up on the opposite side of the Lake."

  also a poem about this tragedy - 22 verses of 4 lines each.

also mentions that vessel Washington was lost the year before.
