ATV club seeks partnership with police BY DANIEL SCHWAB AMHERSTBURG ­ The Essex County All-Terrain Vehicle Club is working to develop a partnership with the Amherstburg Police Service and help in future search and rescue missions. Under the guidance of the Ontario ATV Search and Rescue Federation, the club held an educational session at Fox Glen Golf Course and participated in training scenarios at a nearby 50-acre forest Sept. 30. The training helped bring the club closer to becoming an aid to Amherstburg police in the event of a search for missing persons, said club treasurer, Chris Beaune. The club began as a recreational group two years ago, Beaune said.
