Thn Free Press Wednesday December 1970 Sod turned for garage Fourth Line bridge opened A special ceremony was held Wednesday afternoon to officially open a bridge on the Fourth Line In followed by a sod turning ceremony at the new township garage The sod turning was done in fine fashion as retiring Reeve George took a seat at the controls of the township brand new John Deere four wheel drive loader Councillor Leslie and Jim Snow took turns at the controls during the ceremony The new garage will be built Immediately behind the township offices on the Seventh line The entourage Included affect the portion of the Line caused considerable discussion before council passed a resolution requesting the developer and the town enter into an agreement with the township regarding construction and maintenance for an extension to the road The reeve suggested perhaps the township should advise the town to apply for annexation of the other side of the 10th Line suice one side lies in the town
