from bottom of oven Place a small pan of hot water on floor of oven Bake hours or until cake tests done ALMOND SHORTBREAD Blend 1 tsp almond extract into 1 cup shortening creaming until soft Gradually work in cups flour then V cup sugar and salt Mix well and knead with hands until dough ceases to crumble Shape into a roll about inches In diameter then cut in inch slices Place on cookie sheet and
